Very good food and service. Loved the decor and it's one of only a few ethnic places with a full bar.
My only thing was how thick the sashimi was cut. I know there are different methods...but I prefer very thin. And it's all mental with me. It was fresh and very good, it's just hard for me to get down in a bite. The udon is awesome as well as the garlic edamame.
Let me tell you about this crispy, spicy chicken. First, I don't usually like fried stuff. Second, it came out with no sauce, just chicken, chilies, herbs, and peanuts. It is probably the best Asian dish I've had in this town. It's insanely good. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and that spice level is on point. My husband ordered it but I probably ate half. Well, now I am going to order it again for tonight. -

Amazing food and amazing service, hands down. The garlic edamame is literally to die for, it is seasoned perfectly with the right blend of savory and spice; I seriously don't know if I will ever be able to enjoy the regular sea-salt coated kind anymore. The takoyaki was something I tried for the first time after seeing it in so many mukbangs, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I enjoy wasabi mayo from other sushi joints, but theirs just kinda overpowered the flavors of this dish. Also it was a weird texture, like it melted in your mouth yet gave you chunks of squid. I would have preferred the standard spicy mayo that was sriracha-based to balance the sweetness, but others may enjoy this appetizer. I probably wouldn't order the takoyaki again.
I was literally in Heaven with their selection of nigiri and rolls. I had the halibut and mackerel, for the first time since I've never seen them on the menu anywhere else. I liked the halibut more due to its buttery sweetness. However, the mackerel was super fatty and so savory without any added soy sauce. The same could be said for the sweet shrimp and tamago, tho the omelette did need a bit of soy sauce to cut the sweetness to prevent it from being overwhelming.
I ordered the Diablo Roll per our waiter's recommendation, because I wanted something spicy. It was incredible, and I assumed it would come with a small side of nigiri but instead a generous helping of tuna and salmon sashimi...so much food for the pricepoint. I tried a bit of the Crazy Roll my friend ordered and it was beyond excellent.
My favorite part was that you could tell the server actually ate there, so you know the preparation is sanitary and the food is good! I can't wait to go back and try out more or their apps and sushi rolls when my budget allows it. -

Found a hair in my salad, Asian girl server was rude about it
I wanted a comp but she made me uncomfortable about it as if she didn't care to inform the manager lol -

Cool interior decor, fast service, and tasty food. The only downside I've seen so far is the limited indoor seating. When it gets busy, you feel rushed by the large groups of people hungrily waiting for you to get up and make room for a new group to sit down. The food is really good, though.

SKIP THE SUSHI. Order the other dishes. Despite being a sushi place, the other menu items are top notch.
I sat at the bar and watched all the sushi being made and sent out. Honestly, it looked average. I ordered the cumin lamb and curry beef udon. The cumin lamb had the perfect amount on spice and was amazingly tender. I've been searching for a cumin lamb dish of the same caliber since then but none have met its match. (and I've had a few) Was a bit skeptical about the curry udon. However, they nailed it on the spice level. Not too heavy and the udon noodles were al dente. Good portion of meat included. Seems like most issues from other reviews are with the sushi. My advice would be to skip the fish and try the other things. Seems like sushi is a cover for this restaurant- I think they would do well if they only offered the other menu items.
